Be Kind Please Rewind: August

Be Kind Please Rewind

  1. Segway-  My family and I did a sunset segway tour.  It wound up being only us since the other group didn’t show, which was super fun.  And we learned some new facts about Cincinnati.  The best part though was doing the labyrinth maze on segways. It probably is a miracle that someone didn’t die.
  2. Organizing – Since I’m planning on moving in the next couple months, I started organizing things.  I have a giant pile of craft stuff that I’m getting rid of since I just don’t have time for it. I have more piles of Goodwill donations and boxes piling up at every turn. Blah, this is the worst part of moving: the process of packing.
  3. General Life-  Not much else outside of the usual happened.  I hung out with writer friends a lot and felt like work was one meeting after another.  I also have custody of my sister during the week while she waits for her apartment to become available on Sept 10.  So she’s here on school nights.

Crunch time!  I’m doing final edits on my Sci-Fi short today and turning it in.  I have also found out about a short story competition that I’m going to try to enter.  I think it’s going to be one I’ve been working on for a personal anthology, so we’ll see how I do. Right now, all I really have time for is keeping up with Master Chief and So You Think You Can Dance.  Still not sure who I want to win either of those shows, but I’m enjoying them a lot this season. Totally listened to more podcasts than music this month.  Here are my top 3:
