Be Kind Please Rewind: January

Be Kind Please Rewind January

1)  Two work trips: I kicked off the new year with a trip to Atlanta for the passion conference.  It was our adult creative planning team (mostly) that went.  It was a great time meeting new people and started some good discussions among our team.  My second trip was a week ago to Chattanooga where the East Coast Children’s Pastor’s Conference happened this year.  I was a little worried if it was going to be as good as years before because there had been some change of ownership and leadership, but I think it might be the best one I’ve been too.  I got to bring my whole team with me, which was a first at this conference, and they all loved it too.  The speakers were great and there were a lot of great booths and vendors we got to talk to.  I’m still buzzing a little from all the ideas I picked up.

2) Failed at reading and writing: This month I was a total failure at reading and writing.  Granted, I anticipated that going into the month since I had two trips, and we’re going into a capital campaign at church, which means more late night meetings (yeah :/) So because my reading levels were down, my reviews will be down this month till I can get some more reading done.

3) Played my Ukulele:  So some of my creative time went to ukulele playing.  I really love the Ukulele.  It’s so fun and happy.  Really, even sad songs sound a little happier on the ukulele.
