Books

Did Not Finish… Yet

DNF Yet

So I thought I’d make a list of books I’ve started but for various reasons have gone back on the TBR shelf after a couple chapters.  Most the time its not because I’m not loving the book, I just don’t click with it in the moment.  Or sometimes when I get a huge pile of books, I start reading all of them and the most exciting one gets my attention.  I do the same thing after grocery shopping.  My dinner usually is a sampler platter of all the new food I bought.

So here’s the current list of books I’ve started and will one day finish:

Alice in Zombieland– This is a book that I read the first couple chapters right when I bought it because it was the closest book to me.  Then I went back to the books I had already started.  I’m think going to pick this one back up next month when work is slower, because I’ll probably devour the series.

Alice in Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles, #1)

Snow Like Ashes– I got this one for Christmas and again started the buffet reading plan, but since I had several library books I was reading, this one got put on the back burner.  I’ve also been trying to knock off several books on my TBR challenge, so I just haven’t gotten back to this one, but I’m super excited just because of the depth of world that I can already tell it will be.

Snow Like Ashes (Snow Like Ashes, #1)

Adulting– this is based off a blog.  I like that she’s quriky and sarcastic, but it still written similar to a blog, so it can be read in chunks.

Adulting: How to Become a Grown-up in 468 Easy(ish) Steps

Enders–  The first book Starters was a great book that I really liked, but I’m having a hard time reconnecting with the characters.  It might be the time between books.  I’m also thinking I might need to actually read the second book rather than listen.  When story lines are complected, it’s hard for me to listen because I like doing other things when I listen to books.

Enders (Starters, #2)

The Raven Boys–  I got this from my Bookish Secret Santa this year, which she raved about.  I’ve loved the first couple chapters, but, like the Zombieland series, feel I need to be able to commit to the series to really enjoy reading it.

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)

Oracles of Delphi Keep– I’ve been working through this book slowly off and on.  It’s not that it’s bad, I actually really enjoy what I’ve read so far.  It’s just that I get distracted by books I want to read more.  I’ll eventually finish this, just haven’t got to the “can’t put it down” moment.

Oracles of Delphi Keep (Oracles of Delphi Keep, #1)

Ruby Red– Another one that I’ve read a couple chapters to get the feel for it, but went back to what I was currently reading.  this was a major cover love buy, but I love that it’s a time travel book.  Maybe this will be on my summer read list.

Ruby Red (Precious Stone Trilogy, #1)

The Night of the Solstice – I think I’m halfway through this book. And I have no really good reason for why I forgot about it.  I like the story and the author.  I think I just need to get it off my shelves and put it in a reading spot.

The Night of the Solstice (Wildworld, #1)

The Search for Wondla– This is another one that intrigues me with the depth of world that it seems to have.  I feel like it has a Doctor Who type of Sci-Fi about it, which of course makes me want to read it.  I just haven’t felt the urge to move it to the top of the TBR pile.

The Search for WondLa (WondLa, #1)

So are there any on this list that I should immediately pick back up, or is it ok that I re-shelved them till the mood strikes?
