I’ve been doing NaNoWriMo and I can’t believe I’m keeping up with this blog and writing a novel!  Miracles do happen.  Anyways. I’ve always had a strange obsession with writing Limericks and since they’re a little easier to write, I decided to share a few here this month.  And who am I kidding, I’ll probably write lots of Limericks here because they’re awesome.

This is one of the first Limericks I wrote when we were doing creative writing in the 8th grade:

There once was a very black cat

who always by the fire he sat

one day he came close

and then he was toast

and that all I have to say about that

These are newly written for all of you:

One day I decided to Write

About a poka dot kite

I let go of the thought

Was very distraught

And decided next time to hold tight

 

Winter is officially here

They say it won’t be a good year

snows bound to fall

a couple feet tall

so we’ll stay by the fire for good cheer

 

I went to buy a new book

for half a day I was hooked

roaming the aisles

brought nothing but smiles

and one turned to 10 that I took
