So it’s been a while. Obviously.
So much has changed in my life I don’t even know where to start. So here’s the highlight reel.
1. Got a new job.
2. Meet a guy and married him.
3. He got a new job
4. Getting ready to move downtown
I kind of skipped all the chaos that happens when you change everything about your life, but that’s basically why I haven’t been doing much of anything else. Not that I didn’t want to be writing and reading, and everything else I was doing. But when 75% of your life changes, you change too. I don’t feel like it’s been bad changes. Actually, I feel like I’m different and better in a lot of ways. But through all of it, I knew I would be back here one day, I just wasn’t sure what I would look like when that happened.
And while writing and reading are still a part of me, they aren’t quite as big a part. When I stopped doing all my extra hobbies to adjust to all the newness, it made me evaluate what I want to prioritize when I come back.
So this site is becoming more about all of me, than just the reading and writing part. I have so many interests, I want a place that I can express that and connect all of them.
I think that’s one reason why I liked being a Children’s Minister, it let me have an outlet for most of the things I love. And while I love my new job, it focuses in on just the top tier of what I love rather than all of it.
And I’ll be starting a new project to help me focus on the things I love outside of work and help me spend time creating things just because it brings me joy. And hopefully, I can bring a little joy to others as well.
