House, Anniversary, and Organization in February

So this month we celebrated our one year anniversary. It seems crazy to think it’s already been a year. We we’re supposed to close on the house on our anniversary weekend so my husband planned an overnight get away for the weekend after. It was a great time of just getting away from all the stress and spending some time together. We wound up at the Belamere suites, where we had a private pool and jacuzzi tub. There is something about handing out in water till your wrinkly that just makes you feel good.

The other thing that happened this month is we finally closed on the house, which is pretty close to a miracle. The polar vortex came through and broke the pipes in the house the night before we were supposed to close. The buyer and agent found it in their walk through since we weren’t living there and it not-surprisingly freaked them out. So two weeks later we were able to close once mitigation was done and the repairs were under contract. There were several times they threatened to walk if we didn’t give them money for the inconvenience, which was annoying since it wasn’t our fault. But thankfully out realtor kept everything in one piece.

But through all that, my routine had been shot and I feel a little disorganized. So I’m hoping to get everything back in line and my mind focused again.
